Yes, I know! My children remind me every day… it is very soon Christmas! Right now, I’m a that stage where I’m not quite sure how on earth I’m going to get everything done by Monday week – unless I give up sleeping for the next 13 days! But anyway, somehow, I know I will get the essentials done – I always do.
In our house, in the essentials category, there are a few festive Christmas foods. At this time of the year, we spend a lot of time in the kitchen, baking and making all sorts of goodies. Oviously, they are all gluten free here – I’m far too selfish to make any delicious food that I am not allowed to eat.
So, in the next few days, I’m going to post all our favourite Christmas season treats. I haven’t got any mouth watering pictures yet, but I’ll make a point of taking some and of updating the site, I promise.
Today, I will post the first recipe: Christmas pudding
I’m a bit late with that one – ideally you need to make it about three weeks before Christmas – but it doesn’t matter! Make sure you have enough time ahead of you for the cooking stage (it needs to be steamed for six hours!!) and just get baking. It’s easy and you will really have a delicious gluten free Christmas pudding to share on the day!
Next I am planning to post the recipes for a gluten free Christmas cake, for gluten free Christmas biscuits (a very Swiss tradition that we love), and, last but not least, I’ll be posting my recipe for homemade fudge – simply to die for!
So, start by clicking on this link for the pud 🙂 Gluten free Christmas pudding
Happy baking!
